“I have a problem”

"Help! I have a problem…"

Firstly, let's acknowledge that it takes great courage to raise your hand (or a white flag!) and ask for H-E-L-P.

When we do squeak or perhaps shout it out, it's best to consider the risk and impact of the problem at hand. Sometimes we brush problems under the rug in the hope that they'll go away. Or, we lose sleep worrying about how to make that deadline, pass the audit, lift engagement, and retain talent. Or we courageously re-discover them when we believe we have the answers, the experience, the confidence. Which, could be too late...

So, let me ask, who listens when you call out? Not to simply hear, but to truly listen and lean in to work with you to resolve it?

With massive demand on talent at the moment, most employers are not in a position to invest months into designing, advertising, recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training their new talent. Phew… Not appealing, hey?

Enter the opportunity to work with a senior HR expert who has a vested interest in solving your problem and making you look good in the process.

What kinds of HR problems you ask?

Here's some that I have solved this year so far:

  • Non-compliance of WHS governance impacting employee wellbeing and psychological safety

  • Aged Diversity Equity and Inclusion framework and strategy, with an organisational focus on activities (yes, think morning tea's) rather than initiatives for impact

  • Disengaged teams borne from a lack of direction and visibility to their overarching strategy

  • New teams that didn't know how to work together

  • High risk of under and over payments due to inconsistent remuneration practices

  • Restructure impacted employees needing support, guidance and coaching to land their dream jobs

  • High attrition of high-potentials and talent

  • New capability framework implementation and communication strategy, giving role clarity, career pathway visibility, and investment to reduce high turnover

  • Closed mindsets on how to meet multi-million dollar projects growth and delivery demand

  • Interpersonal conflicts and culture transformation

These problems are not limited to any particular company or industry either. These problems were experienced by:

  • Financial Services

  • Banking

  • Health

  • Retail

  • Hospitality

  • Education / Universities

  • Environment

  • Government

My vision is to uplift leadership capability to build safer and inclusive workplaces that enable people to thrive.

To do this, I meet people where they are at; enable people to show up and be themselves; create progress over perfection mindsets; create experiences that support people to be the change; and get curious - there is always opportunity in possibility.

What problem do you have that needs solving?

And you know that once it's solved, you will feel free, empowered, inspired, and in control.
